The St. Bernard Prep School Boys Tennis Team swept West Point yesterday afternoon, 9-0.
After spotting the #1 doubles team of Ben Vandegrift and Michael Tolbert a 3-0 lead, Nino and Louis Yutiamco broke through to win 10-8. The #2 doubles team of Jake Killebrew and Justin Varquez swept aside the team of Cord Rawls and Jacob Curvin, 10-3. Finishing out a clean sweep was Jack Palmer and J. C. Albritton over Gavin Parrot and Johb Sims, 10-1.
Singles winners were Nino Yutiamco, 10-7 in a well-played and spirited match; Louis Yutiamco, 10-1; Jake Killebrew, 10-4; Justin Varquez, 10-3; Jack Palmer, 10-0; and Ethan Arndt, 10-0.
The Saints travel to Cullman Thursday.
