On a blustery winter's evening, the St Bernard Prep boy's Tennis team defeated the Cullman JV team 9-3. Brothers Nino and Louis Yutiamco prevailed in #1 doubles, 8-0. Other winners were Justin Varquez and J. C. Albritton, who came back from a 4-7 deficit to prevail 9-7; and newcomers Ethan Arndt and Brendan Meyer 9-7. Winners for the Bearcats were Taka Chiba and Ryan Hunt in #2 doubles, 8-2.
Singles winners for the Saints were Nino Yutiamco (9-7), Louis Yutiamco (8-4), Jake Killebrew (8-2), Justin Varquez (8-4), J. C. Albritton (9-7), and Brendan Meyers (8-4). Winners for the Bearcats were Jacob Davis (8-6) and Jackson Spradlin (10-8).
The Saints next opponent is West Point this Tuesday.
